Louis Vuitton could be a brand that most of us could associate with luxury leather goods, like purses, wallets , belts, and so on. However, in case you do not know, Louis Vuitton also manufactures its own series of baggage, and now it seems that to better protect this baggage, the company is developing its own luggage tracker .
This is demonstrated by a smartphone application and a FCC filing that the company might be working on something, but there is no official confirmation yet. The device is expected to be able to operate internationally and will last up to six months on a single charge and can be easily recharged via USB.
The tracker is able to slip in Louis Vuitton luggage via a special compartment, and will be associated with the corresponding smartphone application. The tracker is obviously not made by Louis Vuitton themselves, but it seems rather to be developed by the French startup Axible. The concept of luggage tracers is not new and there are several options out there
In fact recently at CES 2018, Tile announced partnerships with various companies including the Samsonite luggage manufacturer, where Tile’s Bluetooth tracking technology will be incorporated into future products . No word on when the Louis Vuitton tracker will be released or how much it will cost, but given the brand image, we doubt that it will be cheap.
